Born in Grenada, Chef Emmanuel David first came to Canada with dreams of becoming a chef. Since then, he has steadily gained recognition for his talent and expertise by working in kitchens across North America and competing in numerous national and international culinary competitions.
His career in competitive cuisine resulted in eight individual gold medals in provincial culinary competitions. Internationally, Chef David has won three international gold medals and one team silver medal as part of Culinary Team Canada, as well as one individual silver medal and one team silver medal as part of the renowned Culinary Team Alberta.
Outside of the competitive arena, Chef David previously opened the successful restaurant Dante's in West Edmonton. Moreover, he had the honor of preparing a state dinner for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
Following the success of Dantes, Chef David spent 10 years cultivating a following for his amazing cuisine at the Boulevard Restaurant in Red Deer Now he is doing the same at his little Italian Bistro in Olds, Alberta. He welcomes his old friends and his new friends to this quaint and inviting spot in historic Uptowne Olds where the menu is always changing with new and exciting culinary masterpieces for you to enjoy. He loves the community and grows many of his own vegetables and sources meats and as much supplies as possible from the local area.
